Being a mom is hard. Being a human is hard. We all have more in common than you think.
I wanted to be called Honey. Honey is a great name for a grandmother who doesn’t want an old lady name. Honey was perfect for me – except that my grandson wouldn’t say it. He can say it, but won’t call me that. He picked YayYay – that is pronounced yā-yā – long A and you say it the way you say “yay” and clap when something good happens to celebrate and encourage. After he named me this, I started to notice how often I say “yay!”
A lot. I guess I am easily excited and just look for things to be excited about, but in today’s world we all need a little of that.
I can’t tell you how the Pinterest moms get perfectly clean, organized house because I can’t do it. Doesn’t matter how much I pin. I don’t know how people take perfect pictures of their kids. Taking a family pic is like herding cats around here.
What I can do, is show you a real life. A person who struggles and messes up and more importantly, will tell you that you aren’t alone if you struggle! Here, I can share my faith and tips I’ve learned along the way. I can encourage you on hard days, give you something to laugh about and hopefully, you will find something to say “yay” about.
